Go Florida provides opportunities for promoting businesses in the Florida travel and tourism sector. Samples of available advertising are shown below. Different advertising types can be combined to suit specific needs and there are discounts available for multiple advert packages.

All prices shown below are in US dollars.

Leader Board Banners:

Typical Leader Board Banner Placement

Ad size is 730 x 70 pixels.  Prices are from $40 per month, invoiced for a 6 month period. Prices vary depending on the popularity of the page carrying the advert. Discounts are available for multiple ad placements.

Horizontal leaderboard banners are available in a full page width as shown in the above example.  These ads appear above the page content and the location is the advertisers exclusive property for the duration of the ad placement.  The location is not shared with other advertisers by way of rotations or any other sharing techniques. A click on a banner hotspot links directly to the advertisers web site.

Banner ads must placed for a minimum of 6 months. The existing advertiser has first refusal on the following 6 months.

We accept art work from your own graphic designers, subject to file size limits and the dimensions shown. We can also create your banner ad for you as a complimentary service.

Block Banners:

Ad size is 250 x 250 pixels. Prices are from $40 per month, invoiced for a 6 month period. Prices vary depending on the popularity of the page carrying the advert. Discounts are available for multiple ad placements.

The above examples illustrate how the block banner can be used to promote any business in the travel, tourism and hospitality marketplace. The advertising space should be seen as a blank canvas that is totally adaptable for the advertiser to use to best effect for their business.

Article Pages (FREE)

Articles are without doubt the most effective way to promote your own site. Articles generate both traffic to your site as well as create a SEO boost.  You need to write a unique 400-500 word article about your business and send it to us along with a couple of photos.

We create a new page on Go Florida with your content and images, add two keyword links back to your site, provide an acknowledgement that you are the source and do SEO optimisation of the page.

When considering the article page option, you need to be aware that we will require a link on your site to one of our pages. Not just any old link buried on page 23 of your 34 pages of reciprocals, but rather a link on a page that has solid Page Rank and is specifically about a Florida travel and tourism topic. This criteria is non negotiable.

If you cannot meet that criteria for the link to our site, then you can consider sponsoring the article page for an agreed sum per annum. Email us for a quotation.

Companion Site Links (FREE)

Go Florida uses a "Companion Sites" facility for the express purpose of exchanging links with other quality Florida travel and tourism websites. Companion Site links allow us to offer the viewer access to Florida resources beyond the scope of our own site.

Companion Site link exchanges are FREE ... but you must be able to offer us a reciprocal link exchange from a Florida travel and tourism page with at least Page Rank 3. Note that it is the page carrying the link to us that must be Florida specific and have the PR3 or better.

Suppose you operate a Miami vacation rentals website. We add a highly relevant link in the Companion Sites area of one of our Miami pages. Similarly, we can provide your Key West fishing charter website with a Companion Site link from one of our Key West pages.... and so on for all of Florida.

These links are perfect for SEO purposes and generation of increased traffic. They are highly relevant (aka on-topic links), there is a maximum of six Companion Site links per page, you can specify key word anchor text and you can specify deep links.  Companion Site links are far more effective than having your links buried in over-populated link pages and link directories.

Reciprocal Link Exchange (FREE)

We will only consider a reciprocal link exchange with sites that are relevant to Florida travel and tourism and do not respond to any other link requests. If your linking page has a Google PR of 3 or more, we will add the link as a Companion Site (see above). Sites that offer a link page of less than PR3 can still request an exchange and the link will be entered into the Go Florida Travel Directory.
