The neighboring park is the 140,000-acre Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge which is home to numerous Florida birds, reptiles, alligators and mammals. Cocoa Beach is a favorite destination for strolling soft sands, sunning and surfing. Start the day with a round of golf and spend the afternoon swimming or fishing from the pier. The ancient cypress forests and vast selection of wildlife can be enjoyed by taking in an eco-tour of the area. Finish the day watching the sun set on the Indian or Banana Rivers. Most visitors will spend a day or two visiting the incredible Kennedy Space Center and Astronaut Hall of Fame. |

Sebastian is one of the few commercial fishing villages still remaining on the east coast and the town attracts surfers from all over the south east looking to ride the waves at Sebastian Inlet. The Atlantic east coast offers world class recreational fishing locations and Port Canaveral and Sebastian Inlet offer numerous off shore charter opportunities. Port St. Lucie and Fort Pierce thrive on some the best sport fishing in the USA.
Holiday makers visiting the Cape Canaveral area will find a wide choice of vacation accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, ranging from hotels, resorts, self catering apartments and bed and breakfast establishments.
