Crandon Park Beach (4000 Crandon Boulevard, Key Biscayne) offers visitors a wonderful, two-mile (3.2 km) white sand lagoon beach with lifeguards, a beachside boardwalk. car parking, picnic areas and concession stands.

The Crandon Park Beach Amusement Center features a carousel, splash fountain, outdoor skating rink and a  playground. The Crandon Park Beach Gardens provide a well maintained garden with lakes and a tropical forest with overhanging vines and various ferns. Amusement Center hours are 10.00 am. - 7.00 pm and Beach and Gardens hours are sunrise to Sunset.

Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Recreation Area (1200 S. Crandon Blvd., Key Biscayne) is a 410-acre park featuring great beaches, sea grass dunes and inviting blue-green waters.

The park is located just beyond Key Biscayne's commercial district at the southern tip of the island. It has a restored lighthouse, picnic shelters and cafés serving drinks and meals.

A bike ride or walk stroll along the paths and boardwalks provides great panoramas of the Miami skyline. Bicycles, skates, kayaks, water-bikes, playground and fishing platform rentals are all available.

Virginia Key Beach (3701 Rickenbacker Causeway, Key Biscayne) is a narrow beach only about 20 metres wide with a rocky ledge on one side and a shady forest area on the other. This is a remote, quiet beach and seldom overcrowded. 

Changing rooms and freshwater showers are available on-site and visitors can rent skis, bikes, chairs and umbrellas. There is a food concession on the beach and other cafes and eateries are within a short driving distance.
