Boca Raton Vacation HighlightsThe Gumbo Limbo Environmental Complex, so named for the hardwood tree which sheds its bark, is a 20-acre home to one the few remaining forest islands in South Florida. The Boca Raton - Delray Beach area is blessed with several excellent beaches such as Delray's Atlantic Dunes Beach and the Delray Beach Public Beach. Boca Raton has South Beach Park and the ever popular Spanish River Park Beach on North Ocean Boulevard. The area has excellent golf courses, with two of the best being the Boca Raton Resort & Club and The Inn at Boca Teeca. The area's best public golf course is the Boca Raton Municipal Golf Course. Vacationers looking for a game of tennis need look no further than the up market Delray Beach Tennis Center or the public hard courts at Patch Reef Park. For snorkelers and divers, there is Moray Bend, a dive spot located about 1200 yards off Boca Inlet, and home to three moray eels. Red Reef Park is a fully serviced oceanfront park in Boca Raton with good swimming and snorkeling for beginners around the rocks and reefs just off the beach in shallow water.
