Disney's Animal Kingdom

This is the fourth and largest theme park comprising 500 acres and representing five lands. This park is home to more than 1,000 animals and your journey will take you through vast jungles, lush grasslands, rainforests plus a savanna and dinosaur dig site. Unforgettable adventures await you on each path or trail and awesome encounters with animals from real life will thrill you.

Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park

The newest Disney attraction,  this venue houses 22 water slides, "icy" bobsled runs and Summit Plummet, the world's fastest free fall at 60 mph from the 120 foot summit.  There is a 90 foot snow capped mountain in the middle of a Florida style ski resort with "snow" from a "freak Florida snowstorm," creating snowy slopes. Comfortably warm and thrillingly fast, this is family enjoyment.

Typhoon Lagoon - Surf Disney!

A 56-acre surfside playground left behind by a "great storm". Located near Downtown Disney West Side, Typhoon Lagoon features a 2.5 acre wave-making lagoon with surfing-size breaking waves and saltwater shark reef. Wonderful waterways, relaxing rivers and thrill rides on the man-made watershed mountain with roaring rapids, plus eight twisting-and-turning water slides. Invigorating, exciting and exhilarating, your tropical paradise of the most wonderful wet water adventure ever known, awaits you. 

Disney's River Country Water Park 

If you need a break from your exciting theme park schedule, don your bathing suit and enjoy the beaches and nature trails of this water park. Water slides and sandy beaches are also there to add to the atmosphere. Relax and enjoy. 

Downtown Disney & Pleasure Island

Stroll along the enchanting 1940's themed waterfront with the charm of an Atlantic coastal village. There are more than 70 shops, restaurants and clubs featuring live performances from some of the best entertainment names in the world. 

It is also home to Cirque du Soleil, House of Blues, Planet Hollywood, World of Disney, Rainforest Cafe and Disney Quest.  Filled shore-to-shore with spectacular clubs, award winning restaurants and fine dining, this island has something for everyone. Smooth jazz, rock 'n roll, rhythm & blues, 70's and 80's disco's plus more - you can dance the night away at any of the eight clubs 'cause every night is a celebration night. 

Walt Disney World Florida - Getting There & Getting Around

At least 35 scheduled airlines and almost as many charter companies fly into Orlando International Airport.  Delta runs nearly 25% of the flights from around 160 cities. Other carriers include Air Canada,  America West, American, British Airways, Continental, Northwest and US Airways. 

Amtrak has services to and from Orlando and many of the surrounding towns such as Kissimmee, Sebring, Winter Haven, Sanford and Ocala.

The Orlando Airport site provides and excellent page about shuttle services and city transport.  A trolley service called the I Ride provides a fun way to get around the International Drive Resort Area.  The LYNX bus service is provided by the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority and covers the Orlando and surrounding cities metropolitan areas.
