Pensacola Vacations

190 miles west of Tallahassee, 355 miles west of Jacksonville

Pensacola, current population of approximately 420 000,  preserves a heritage dating from Spanish, French, English, and American conquests. The city rivals St. Augustine as Florida's oldest town, dating its origins to the Spanish settlement in 1698.  Native American occupation of the area existed centuries before the arrival of the Spanish.

The city retains a charming mix of the cultures that have influenced it such as Spanish brickwork, French iron lace balconies and magnificent Victorian mansions built by lumber barons of previous generations.

Pensacola accommodation consists of brand name inns along the highway corridors through the city fringes.  The downtown area offers a range of hotels and inns. The ever popular Pensacola Beach accommodation includes beach resorts, condominiums and vacation rentals.
