Tallahassee FloridaTallahassee, with a current population of approximately 150 000, has been the seat of state government since 1824. It's location is almost in Georgia so there's plenty of Old South influence to be seen. The city boasts many restored 19th-century buildings and homes, including the majestic Old State Capitol. A feature of the city is the towering pines and oaks that frame the five official Canopy Roads that are flanked by historic plantations, Native American settlement sites, magnificent gardens, parks, lakes and streams. |
